Good quality, delivery took a while

I ordered a Geodesic Dome Connectors Kit for a backyard project. The connectors themselves are really solid steel, felt very durable and well-made. Building the frame with standard lumber was pretty straightforward once I got the hang of it. My only small complaint is that it took a little longer than expected to ship, about 8 days to reach me in Arizona. Otherwise, a good value for what you get, and I'm happy with the finished greenhouse.

Easy to build, fun project

Got the Magidome Steel Geodesic Dome Connectors for a small chicken coop. It was actually way easier to put together than I thought. The instructions were clear and I had it framed up in an afternoon. My chickens love their new dome! Totally recommend for a DIY project.

Connectors are great

Bought the Steel Hub System for a camping dome. They are strong and easy to use. Held up well. Shipping was okay.

Worth the investment

I was looking to build a meditation dome and decided on the Magidome system. I bought a set of their Geodesic Hubs during a seasonal sale. The quality of the steel is impressive, very sturdy. I've seen other kits that use plastic, but these are clearly designed to last. Assembly was simple with basic tools and some lumber. It feels incredibly secure and looks fantastic in my garden! I'm already thinking about a second one for a garden shed.

Solid connectors, saved some cash

I was trying to build a DIY Greenhouse Kit without spending a fortune. I found a 10% off code for Magidome. The Lumber Connector Sets arrived pretty fast. They were exactly what I needed. Building the frame was straightforward, and I felt like I got a good deal on strong connectors compared to some other options I priced out. Definitely helped me stay within my budget for the whole project, which was my main goal.

Can I return a kit if I change my mind or if it's not what I expected? What's their return policy like?

P Patricia 4 weeks ago
Yeah, I returned one once because I accidentally ordered the wrong size. It was pretty straightforward, just had to pay for shipping back.

I haven't had to return anything, but I remember looking it up and it seemed pretty standard. As long as it's unused, you should be fine for a certain period after receiving it. Check their site for the exact days though.

How do these compare to something like Sonostar or the Zip Tie Domes? Magidome looks good, but curious if there's a big difference in quality or ease of use.

O Olivia Lopez 1 week ago
I've only used Magidome, but I picked them because they seemed way sturdier than the zip tie ones. Those always looked kinda flimsy to me for anything permanent. Magidome is metal, feels way more solid.

Sonostar is good too, but Magidome felt a bit more user-friendly for a DIYer. I liked that I could use common lumber sizes without special cutting or anything. It's a solid choice.

What kind of lumber do these things take? I've got some spare 2x4s lying around, would those work?

A Amber G. 3 weeks ago
I used standard 2x4s for my shelter and they fit perfectly. Think it's designed for pretty common sizes.

Yeah, pretty sure they're made for standard dimension lumber. You don't need anything fancy or custom milled, which is nice.

I might need a few kits for a bigger project. Do they offer any kind of bulk pricing if I'm buying, say, three or four kits?

S Susan Martin 1 month ago
Yep, they usually have discounts if you buy more than one kit. I got a better price when I bought two last year.

O Olivia Gomez 1 month ago
Definitely. Look for the options where you can add multiple kits. The price per kit goes down, it's pretty common for them.

Are Magidome connectors actually rust-proof? Don't want my greenhouse falling apart after a year in the rain.

M Megan Thomas 1 month ago
Mine have been outside for two seasons now through all kinds of weather, no rust yet. They seem pretty durable.

They're steel, so I'd assume they're treated or coated somehow. My cold frame has been up for a while and looks fine. Haven't seen any rust spots.

Thinking of getting a kit for a greenhouse. Anyone know if they ship to like, Montana? And how long that usually takes?

M Megan D. 1 month ago
They ship everywhere in the US, I think. Got mine in Idaho no problem, took about a week and a half.

I'm in Oregon and it was pretty standard shipping time, maybe 7-10 days. Don't think Montana would be an issue.

Any Black Friday deals usually happen? Thinking of getting a big kit but might wait if there's a sale coming.

R Rachel Lopez 2 weeks ago
Oh yeah, they almost always have a Black Friday sale. I got my kit then and saved a decent chunk of change.

S Susan Perez 2 weeks ago
Definitely wait if you can! They usually do some kind of sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Good time to snag a deal.

Anyone know if you can stack coupons? I have a first-time buyer one and I saw a bulk discount, kinda hoping I could use both.

A Alex Gomez 1 month ago
Nah, I tried that before. They usually only let you use one code at a time. It's either the first-time discount or the bulk thing, not both.

J Josh 1 month ago
Yeah, pretty standard for online stores. You usually have to pick which deal saves you more money. No stacking codes from what I remember.
